helping businesses do more with less

Channing Daniel, Owner

Trained in process improvement in the health care industry, for five years I worked on large-scale corporate improvement initiatives and worked closely with the type of big consultancies who dominate the performance improvement industry. I understand how they get the results they do, and why simply directly applying those tools to smaller companies won’t work. Since 2009 I have been modifying big company methods for any business.

Though I’ve studied cognitive psychology, organizational development, and database management, it’s my degree in music that most informs my work in process improvement. I gained a profound understanding that logic and discipline lead to grace and innovation. Performance improvement is an ongoing practice, rather than a one-time project, and my musical endeavors prepared me to coach others how to turn a strategic goal into a daily habit. My work is collaborative at its core, and I am adept at workplace ensemble facilitation largely due to my education and experience as a musician.

I have been described by clients as “upbeat, dynamic, engaging, flexible, driven and an absolute joy.”

who I help

  • You’re ready to level up your operations to deal with or prepare for growth.
  • You are rocking the house but for some reason struggle to meet deadlines.
  • You are losing a key team member, and need to capture what they do.
  • You’re a team of A players, but aren’t making the profit you know you should.
  • Your recent success is causing your administrative staff to groan under the load.

what I do

  • I coach individuals and teams to prepare for change (like scientists) make targeted change (like ninjas) and then sustain the ground gained (like pit bulls).
  • I use your business data, direct observation, and one-on-one interviews to surface hidden patterns and diagnose the root causes of problems you’re experiencing.
  • I work with you to develop a project team to implement an improvement plan.
  • I lead workshops, brainstorming meetings, and team presentations that don’t make you want to stab your eyes out.
  • I provide project management services as needed.

how this is different

  • It’s scalable. We will work with what you have and where you are.
  • It’s honest. You get direct, candid feedback on what’s thwarting you.
  • It’s light. You won’t end up creating oppressive bureaucracy or endless forms.
  • It’s accessible. No jargon or inflexible, overwhelming methods.

how this helps you

  • You get quick solutions that fit your style and strategy.
  • You can focus on being great, rather than racing to put out fires.
  • You gain greater stability, which makes you more nimble.
  • Your staff can be more creative in a more predictable work environment.
  • You gain greater efficiency, which means reduced overhead, increased profits, and more slack. Happier everybody.
